4 Lifestyle Habits for Healthy Sleep

1. Great Days for Better Nights

During the day be sure to eat a clean, balanced diet. Aim for 30 grams or more of protein with each meal. I love making a smoothie with Equip Prime Protein to help (code HOW2HAILEY for 20% off).

Have your biggest meal at breakfast and taper off from there.

Prioritize movement, even if it’s a few short walks. But avoid exercise before bed.

2. Light When It’s Right

Upon waking, look at something bright. Ideally, get some natural sunlight, bonus points for catching the sunrise, and get a walk-in.

At night, dim the lights to mimic the sunset. Electric candles and salt lamps are great for soft lighting.

Avoid screens 1 hour before bed. Consider adding blue-blocking glasses.

3. Blissful Sleep Environment

Pitch-black is the goal. Cover any electronic lights, add blackout curtains, & consider my fave sleep mask.

Train your brain that bed = sleep (or sex) and that’s it! This means breaking any habits of working, scrolling, snacking, or TV in bed.

4. Timing Matters

Develop a consistent schedule. Yes, even on weekends.

Adults need 7-9 hours per night for optimal health. Try to be in bed by 10 p.m. to sync better with the sun.
